Dashboard of the Artificial Intelligence Readiness Index
This dashboard presents a comprehensive analysis of the Artificial Intelligence Preparedness Index (AIPI), which assesses countries’ capacity to adopt, develop, and scale artificial intelligence technologies. The index is structured around four key dimensions: human capital; regulation and technological use; infrastructure; and economic innovation and interconnectivity. The analysis is based on the most recent available data, corresponding to 2023, and allows for the following conclusions to be drawn:
- The global average AIPI score stands at 0.48, indicating that, on average, countries’ capacity to adopt and leverage artificial intelligence remains at an intermediate level.
- The analysis of the scatter plot reveals a positive correlation between Gross Domestic Product and AIPI scores: more economically developed countries tend to demonstrate higher levels of AI preparedness, confirming that economic growth continues to be a key driver of digital modernization.
- Countries such as Singapore, Denmark, the United States, the Netherlands, and Finland lead the index, combining high levels of AI preparedness with strong efficiency.
- An analysis by income level shows that high-income countries dominate the top positions of the index. Upper-middle-income economies display uneven progress, while low-income countries are concentrated at the lower end of the ranking.
